Enjoy a 4 night 5 day hiking and yoga holiday in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Your yoga holiday will be active with guided hikes each day but still leave you time to relax and enjoy a hammam. You'll be fully immersed within the mountains and see how the local community live, whilst enjoying delicious moroccan food. Allow yourself to escape the day to day and reset with yoga twice a day.
Come and join us on our 4-night hiking yoga holiday in the Atlas Mountains and spend your days under the gaze of Mount Toubkal in Morocco. Only 90 minutes away from Marrakech, stay at 1820m altitude with spectacular views of the valleys and Jbel Toubkal, which stands at 4167m—the largest mountain in Northern Africa. Immerse yourself in yoga twice a day and create space to allow yourself to reset and revitalise.
Energise with yoga in the morning, either on the patio outside with mountain views or inside the yoga shala if it is a bit chilly. Then, enjoy a guided hike in the high Atlas Mountains daily and return for lunch on the terrace. Relax in the afternoon, enjoy a hammam, and wind down with evening yoga followed by a delicious vegetarian Moroccan-inspired dinner. If you feel like taking time out and not joining the hike that day, this is okay! Or if you would like another hike, this can be arranged at an extra cost.
Stay in the Kasbah…an award-winning boutique hotel with 14 en-suite rooms, all spread out with views of the high Atlas Mountains, outdoor eating areas, cosy indoor dining, an under-floor heated yoga shala and two hammams. With day temperatures ranging from around 13 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius at this time of year, allow your body to relax again in the sun’s warmth.

Once you have landed at Marrakech, your yoga holiday has started! Enjoy the scenic drive up to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
Your first evening starts with a short yoga class and then dinner.
On the last day enjoy a morning yoga class and brunch before you head home.

Accommodation in Atlas Mountains, Morocco
This boutique hotel has 14 en-suite rooms and they have options of Standard, Deluxe, superior en-suite rooms. which are spacious and have spectacular views. Please note, if you are joining us on our Hike Mount Toubkal retreat, 2 of your nights stay will be in bunk beds in a trekking hut.
The rooms are rustic yet comfortable, with simple berber adornments such as hand-woven carpets, blankets, intricate carved woodwork and oleander branch panelled ceilings.
Below is a description of the difference between the rooms:
Standard ensuite: Two single beds or a double bed. A smaller room than superior or deluxe rooms. The bathroom has a wet room shower, toilet and sink.*
Superior en-suite: Two single beds or a double bed. Spacious room with balcony or small outdoor space. The en-suite has a bath or shower, toilet and sink*
Deluxe En-suite: The same as a deluxe only with either a bigger terrace or bigger balcony. The en-suite has a bath, shower, toilet and sink.*
* On our Hike Mount Toubkal Retreat you will be staying in the kasbah for the first night, the next two nights on your trek will be staying in a trekking hut in bunk beds, and then back to the kasbah for your last two nights.
Fly:
Arrival: Please aim for a flight arrival time into Marrakech Menara Airport of no later than 12:30, the transfer will wait for the Easyjet flight arriving at 12.20pm. If you arrive before the start of the retreat we can also do a pick-up from the city centre at approx 13:30.
We arrange 1 group transfer, which will be included in the price. If you arrive after this time your transfer will be out of our control and considerably more expensive.
Departure: On our final day the transfer will take you back to the airport, departing no later than 8:00am.
The transfer journey is 90 minutes. Please aim to book a flight which departs after 11:30, this will allow enough time for the transfer and check-in.
Sustainability
We are working towards reducing our carbon footprint, and here are some ways we, as a company, are doing this.
We are a 88% vegan company, 10% vegetarian and 2% fish or meat (only when staying in boutique hotels that offer these options). This makes up a huge percentage of carbon emissions that we avoid so easily because our food is still delicious, balanced and even more creative. So, thanks to you all for enjoying our healthy (mostly) plant-based meals.
The difference: Most travel companies struggle to reduce their travellers’ meat and dairy consumption, which accounts for a large portion of their carbon emissions.
We stay primarily in one location for the duration of the retreat. We have started staying in a few locations on our long haul, but it is limited to 2 or 3 locations over an 8 – 10 night period. Staying in one place means low carbon emissions because we aren’t burning fuel to get around.
The difference: Other adventure travel companies move around every two days, using alot of petrol in vehicles for sometimes only 1 or 2 people.
Our activities are low-impact—yoga, hiking, surfing, skiing/boarding, whitewater rafting, SUP, and kayaking are all very low-carbon activities, in fact, zero-carbon (except skiing/snowboarding due to the ski lifts, which is also low). These activities are included in the price we measure. The carbon may increase with travel to and from these activities in vehicles.
The difference: Other travel companies can include high-carbon activities in the price, such as jet skiing, quad biking, and jeep driving, which increases their carbon footprint.
We run more than half of our retreats and holidays in the UK; these are very low-carbon holidays.
We currently don’t measure our guests’ travel as part of our carbon output because our guests don’t only come from the UK, so it is hard for us to predict this. We also don’t include travel in the holiday price, which is not part of our calculations. We know that we provide these holidays, so we are looking to include this carbon measurement in the future so we are investigating how we can reduce this.

Ultra-low-carbon holidays
These holidays are below 200 kg per person, and our UK retreats are below 100 or even 70 kg, so these are great adventures for low carbon breaks.
Ski holidays are actually low in carbon!
In France, many ski resorts are turning to green energy to power the lifts. If you eat low in meat and dairy while you’re there and hire your ski equipment, this makes your trip as low-carbon as possible.
How can you help?
There are ways that you can help reduce your carbon when coming on our retreats and holidays:
Travel by train, try slow travel across Europe and the UK.
If travelling abroad to Europe or further afield, choose carbon capture schemes, check out Ecologi. Offsetting is not the best thing to do these days, but try carbon capture where you pay for carbon to be absorbed into the environment.
Car share UK – we recommend when guests travel by train to arrive and depart at the same time to taxi share – which helps keep costs and carbon emissions down. Why not consider car share, too? Most guests who drive come alone or with a friend; we have WhatsApp groups that, if you like, you can see who is driving from your area and enjoy getting to know each other on the way to the retreats, and save on your carbon emissions at the same time!
We are by no means saints when it comes to producing carbon, as a travel company we know this is very difficult to reduce. We are working to reduce our carbon output each year by measuring it and then creating plans to reduce it. We are reviewing all our venues and asking them how they can improve their carbon reduction as we don’t own any of our venues but we would like to work with them to help in any way we can. We want to be transparent with this, so please get in touch for more information. As we change things, we will update the website.

Beautiful Atlas Mountains
The Atlas mountains are a vast mountain range that spans 2500km across the north of Africa through the countries of Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria and they separate the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastline from the Sahara desert. It is a mountain range of diverse terrain, climates and wildlife and it is also inhabited by lots of small Berber villages on the mountainsides and Mount Toubkal is the highest peak at 4167metres – the almost the same height as Mont Blanc in the Alps which is 4809m and you can climb Mount Toubkal aswell.
The weather there is seasonal with cold winters at around 20 degrees celsius to 7 degrees celsius at it’s lowest and 35 degrees celsius at it’s hottest in June – August.
The best times to go are spring and autumn where it is sunny and dry with some rainfall so that the trees are green but cool enough to enjoy hiking, the stunning views and visiting Berber villages for mint tea and some rug shopping!
In the Atlas Mountains, you will head to our venue, the Kasbah. It is based in the Toubkal National Park and set dramatically below the towering flanks of Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa standing at 4167 metres. Imlil, and its surrounding valleys, are a world apart from the bustle of the city and a place of peace and seclusion. The Kasbah is situated at 1820m and is just 60km from Marrakech.

Our 1.5 hour morning classes are designed to help you awaken your body, focusing on energising and invigorating your body with Vinyasa / Hatha flows, ready for an exhilarating day exploring the stunning scenery.
Evening Class on your Atlas Mountains yoga holiday:
After your day hiking, exploring or relaxing in the autumn sunshine, return to the Kasbah to unwind and relax tired bodies with a calming evening yoga class with restorative, yin and yoga nidra. This gentle session will vary each evening and include pranayama and meditation to help the mind and body really let go and allow you to enter a state of deep relaxation.

About the Food
The food is created by the local Berber team who work at the Kasbah. As we are high in the Atlas Mountains the food is seasonal, local and organic.
Expect freshly made breakfast, lunch and dinners. breakfast is a buffet of dried fruit and nuts, local loaves of bread, eggs, locally made nut butter, fresh local coffee and teas.
Lunches are tagines of pulses, dried fruits, fresh aubergines, courgettes, peppers, salads and dinner is a selection of the same. Enjoy fresh coffee, drinking water and any other types of soft drinks any time of the day.
Dinner is a selection of warm Moroccon style stews and salads perfect for the cooler evenings.
