Costa Rica Two Location Adventure Yoga Holiday 26th March - 3rd April 2025
Join us on our two-location Costa Rica adventure! Stay for 3 nights in Arenal National Park and experience the volcano, rain forest and hanging bridges, staying in a private tented camp. Then enjoy 5 nights of relaxing in the hip surf town and wellness mecca of Nosara.
For 2025, we are adapting our 8-night yoga holiday Costa Rica adventure to include a 3-night adventure in the region of Alajuela, La Fortuna, so that you can explore the Arenal Volcano National Park and its offerings. The following 5 nights will be spent at the wellness and surf mecca of Nosara on the West Coast.
This 8-day Costa Rica adventure yoga holiday includes volcanoes, cloud forests, hot springs, bird life, beaches, surf, and yoga, which make up the sweet pura vida Costa Rica is known for.
Are you ready for an adventure?
On our 8-night yoga holiday Costa Rica, you will start your yoga adventure in Arenal for 3 nights, staying in an exclusive boutique glamping hotel with 7 single occupancy private beautiful tents and two twin occupancy tents, all with en-suite bathrooms and a veranda. With a yoga shala, pool and private grounds, relax here after an exhilarating day of adventure.
In Fortuna, you will hike around the Arenal volcano and, the next day, explore the jungle on the hanging bridges when the animals are most active. You will be looked after with yoga twice a day to balance and restore and friendly staff.
Next stop, Nosara! Your yoga home from home for the next five nights. Based on the Pacific coast, you will be staying in a gorgeous private luxury villa in the heart of the jungle, with views of the beautiful surf and sand of Playa Guiones, one of Nosara’s main surf and swim beaches. You can relax and enjoy the spaciousness of the villa, the private pool with a seating area, a downstairs open-air dining area and terraces with views of the mountain from one side and the sea on the other.
On our Costa Rica yoga getaway, beautifully, yoga takes place on the terrace, listening to the sounds of tropical birds and stunning views each morning and evening. After a delicious breakfast, take a dip in the pool or take a tuk-tuk to the beach. Maybe relax at the villa or try surfing on one of the best surf beaches in the country. You may wish to take a trip into town or feel exhilarated with one of the many activities on offer in the surrounding area. Maybe zip-lining through the rainforest canopy, taking a quad bike tour along the coast, visiting a chocolate or coffee factory, and so much more. If you just wish to relax that is ok! It is your yoga holiday in Costa Rica so do as much or as little as you like!

Accommodation in Costa Rica
This yoga holiday in Costa Rica has two locations. See below to find out about both accommodations.
La Fortuna, Arenal National Park
Our accommodation for the first 3 nights is a boutique family-tented camp hotel committed to sustainability and natural connection, designed to offer guests a unique experience that combines camping adventure with rest and relaxation on the slopes of the magical Arenal Volcano.
There are 7 tents with a double bed, 2 as twin, a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, a hairdryer, a decking with two chairs overlooking the rainforest, air conditioning, a safe, wifi. There is a swimming pool and sun loungers, spacious private grounds, a dining area, a yoga deck and even a fitness centre if you like working out too.
Nosara: A beautiful boutique yoga villa in the heart of the jungle
You will be staying in the Nosara area in a jungle setting, the closest beach is Playa Las Guinoes at a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away. You’re only a 10 minute ride away from the beachside town of Nosara so shops, cafes, and restaurants and a choice of beaches are on your doorstep.
On the ground floor there is a relaxed outdoor living space with a lounge, dining and bar area. The yoga is above this and is well equipped with all yoga equipment and has views of the jungle and you will hear the jungle inhabitants of monkeys, crickets and more.
In the atrium villa there are two king single occupancy ensuite rooms, and two twin rooms (with double beds) with a shared bathroom. In the courtyard villa there are two king single occupancy ensuite rooms, one twin room (with double beds) and shared bathroom and one king single occupancy room with shared bathroom. There is a pool in both villas and has sunbeds to relax on and read a book.
Each room has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan, a closet, pool towels, hair dryer, and soap in bathrooms.
We can accommodate 11 guests.
We highly recommend that you fly into Costa Rica the day before the retreat begins. That way, you will have a night’s sleep to help recover from your long flight and feel ready and refreshed for your adventure ahead.
We recommend that you book to stay in Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport City Mall on the 25th March 2025. It is right next to the airport, has a free airport shuttle service and a pool.
Your meeting point for the transfer will be in the Arrivals area at San Jose Juan Santamaria (SJO)at 10:30am on the 26th March to take you to Arenal. If you are arriving in the morning of the 26th March please stay in the arrivals section. If you are staying in a nearby hotel, please make your way back to San Jose Juan Santamaria (SJO) airport to the arrivals section ready for the transfer.
We DO NOT recommend that you go into central San Jose – the airport is actually located in Alajuela, 40 minutes out of San Jose itself.
We recommend the following transfer times in 2025:
OUT: 25th March – 10.30am pick-up from SJO arrivals (see info above)
RETURN: 3rd April – Return transfer from Nosara.
The transfer takes 4.5 hours. You will be departing from the villa at 6am to get to the airport for 10.30/11am. Please don’t book a flight to depart before 1pm.

FLIGHTS
The journey to reach us is indeed a long one but, we promise it is worth it!
Recommended cheaper option: flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle are significantly cheaper than from London, so we recommend flying to Paris and then flying to Costa Rica from there.
We don’t recommend specific flights so that you can choose the best ones for you and you can meet the arranged transfers which are included in the price.
Sustainability
We are working towards reducing our carbon footprint, and here are some ways we, as a company, are doing this.
We are a 88% vegan company, 10% vegetarian and 2% fish or meat (only when staying in boutique hotels that offer these options). This makes up a huge percentage of carbon emissions that we avoid so easily because our food is still delicious, balanced and even more creative. So, thanks to you all for enjoying our healthy (mostly) plant-based meals.
The difference: Most travel companies struggle to reduce their travellers’ meat and dairy consumption, which accounts for a large portion of their carbon emissions.
We stay primarily in one location for the duration of the retreat. We have started staying in a few locations on our long haul, but it is limited to 2 or 3 locations over an 8 – 10 night period. Staying in one place means low carbon emissions because we aren’t burning fuel to get around.
The difference: Other adventure travel companies move around every two days, using alot of petrol in vehicles for sometimes only 1 or 2 people.
Our activities are low-impact—yoga, hiking, surfing, skiing/boarding, whitewater rafting, SUP, and kayaking are all very low-carbon activities, in fact, zero-carbon (except skiing/snowboarding due to the ski lifts, which is also low). These activities are included in the price we measure. The carbon may increase with travel to and from these activities in vehicles.
The difference: Other travel companies can include high-carbon activities in the price, such as jet skiing, quad biking, and jeep driving, which increases their carbon footprint.
We run more than half of our retreats and holidays in the UK; these are very low-carbon holidays.
We currently don’t measure our guests’ travel as part of our carbon output because our guests don’t only come from the UK, so it is hard for us to predict this. We also don’t include travel in the holiday price, which is not part of our calculations. We know that we provide these holidays, so we are looking to include this carbon measurement in the future so we are investigating how we can reduce this.
The carbon measurements at the top of the page with the icons are per person for the whole retreat.
Ultra-low-carbon holidays
These holidays are below 200 kg per person, and our UK retreats are below 100 or even 70 kg, so these are great adventures for low carbon breaks.
Ski holidays are actually low in carbon!
In France, many ski resorts are turning to green energy to power the lifts. If you eat low in meat and dairy while you’re there and hire your ski equipment, this makes your trip as low-carbon as possible.
How can you help?
There are ways that you can help reduce your carbon when coming on our retreats and holidays:
Travel by train, try slow travel across Europe and the UK.
If travelling abroad to Europe or further afield, choose carbon capture schemes, check out Ecologi. Offsetting is not the best thing to do these days, but try carbon capture where you pay for carbon to be absorbed into the environment.
Car share UK – we recommend when guests travel by train to arrive and depart at the same time to taxi share – which helps keep costs and carbon emissions down. Why not consider car share, too? Most guests who drive come alone or with a friend; we have WhatsApp groups that, if you like, you can see who is driving from your area and enjoy getting to know each other on the way to the retreats, and save on your carbon emissions at the same time!
We are by no means saints when it comes to producing carbon, as a travel company we know this is very difficult to reduce. We are working to reduce our carbon output each year by measuring it and then creating plans to reduce it. We are reviewing all our venues and asking them how they can improve their carbon reduction as we don’t own any of our venues but we would like to work with them to help in any way we can. We want to be transparent with this, so please get in touch for more information. As we change things, we will update the website.

Be prepared to get caked in orange dust. None fo these excursions are include in the price.
Nosara to San Jose airport - 4.5 hours
March in Arenal is wonderful, with temperatures that hover in the high 80s each day and almost entirely dry days. At night, some rain can be expected, but it won't interfere with your daytime plans or your outdoor activities. To be safe, bring along some gear suitable for rain, and you'll be prepared for anything.
Nosara: It is the dry season in Costa Rica and it is a great time to be there after a long cold and dark winter in the UK and anywhere in the northern hemisphere. It is around 35 degrees celsius in the day and 30 at night.
