At Adventure Yogi we specialise in offering yoga holidays and yoga retreats in the UK and abroad. We were established in 2006 and are pioneers in the retreat/yoga holiday/wellness travel industry. We specialise in combining yoga, adventure and culture and we bring the fun into yoga retreats, whilst creating healthy experiences with like-minded people for solo travellers or friends/family members. We want our guests to feel energised by yoga, relaxed by massage and invigorated by delicious plant-based/veggie foods and to feel the benefits of being in nature, in a new place, with new people making new connections along the way. We are working on our sustainability practices by becoming a climate-positive workforce with Ecologi and we are currently working with a consultant to measure our carbon and work towards reducing it as we are aware we have a big impact on the planet that we are passionate about minimising without compromising on quality retreats for people to switch off and recover from their busy lives. In 2024 and beyond we will be working to grow from 150 retreats a year to larger, grow our office team and retreat teams and work towards B-Corp, to be able to reach more people to help create healthy habits whilst having fun.
The purpose of this role is to assist the MD in all matters related to the People Operations of the business. This is a very important part of Adventure Yogi because we have our subcontracted retreat teams of chefs, yoga teachers and therapists alongside our HQ team. The job holder will manage the communication, recruitment, on-boarding and training of all retreat teams (yoga teachers, chefs, massage therapists and karma yogi’s), oversee any retreat team issues or disputes, staffing the retreats, updating contracts, style guides, collating certificates and insurance, creating regular meet-ups and check-ins and generally being there for the retreat teams. We are currently working on improving our retreat team processes and structure and the right person will be able to take this on and develop it.
You will also act as office manager and manage the office team alongside the Founder and support with internal issues and recruitment.
This role will work to build on the positive culture that has been created and improve processes. The People Operations Manager will line manage the Bookings co-ordinator and you will also support the Events Co-ordinator with the overall retreat team management. The job is multi-faceted and will evolve as the business will evolve. It also has the potential to become a full-time role as the company grows.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about looking after people and has experience in people management and HR. Ideally you also have a love for wellbeing and travel.
We are looking for someone who is a great people person, and thrives meeting new people and managing at times difficult situations. You are very organised, enjoy structure and processes and have an understanding of working with word and excel or google sheets and enjoy working within a small team.
We require someone with People and HR experience, this includes process analysis, change management, contracts, training and development.
You will be joining a small team who is passionate about creating wonderful life-changing experiences for our guests it is a company that is growing so there is a significant opportunity to grow with the company.
The role will be based in Hove at Platfr9m to start with, but as you become confident in the role you can choose to work from home or P9.
